This process constitutes the core manufacturing stage for products such as electric wires and cables, enameled wires, and electronic lead wires.
Brushed
The crude copper rod is progressively drawn through dies to reduce its diameter, yielding copper wire of the desired diameter.
They are classified as: large pull, medium pull, small pull, and micro pull.
Annealing
After heating and holding at temperature followed by cooling, work hardening is eliminated, elongation and flexibility are improved, and electrical conductivity is enhanced.
It is classified into online continuous annealing and offline annealing.
Surface Treatment
Tin-plated copper wire: oxidation-resistant and easy to solder, used for electronic wires and shielded cables.
Silver-plated copper wire: high conductivity, high-temperature resistance; used in high-frequency applications, military industries, and aerospace.
Bare copper wire: retains its natural color and is used for ordinary cable conductors.
Stranding / Bundling
Multiple fine copper strands are stranded together to enhance flexibility and mechanical strength, making them suitable for use as conductors in power cables and control cables.
Subsequent deep processing
Enameled coating, braided shielding, calendering, and soldered forming, among others.
